Last week I experimented a bit with some ideas for photography. It seems I've started enjoying photographing little details in a room, and/or creating an image that gives the viewer a real sense of a room. This is Agnese's bedroom. I love it when you walk into a room and get a real sense of the person who sleeps there. I love the multicoloured lights stringed around her room. The blueish glow compared to the corridors bright yellow. Her room is even nicer when the sun is shining through and you get a brilliant light spot that matches the folds in her curtains.
I miss my Diana Mini :( ... Good news is, if the company haven't dispatched my LC-A+ by 5th May, Amazon will cancel the order. Meaning I can buy the camera straight away from the offical Lomography website and hopefully get the damn camera before the next week! It would be too late to use it in my photography project I think but at least I'll have it for summer!!
I did a mini shoot around Tom's house aswell, I'll try post some photos of that tomorrow.

Last Saturday after I finished work at 9pm, I rushed to Penarth, met Tom and then we jumped in a taxi to Sully. There was a pop-up party going on in an old bomb shelter in a field by the sea! The area was lush! Shame it was already dark when we got there because it was difficult to get an idea of what the place actually looked like. The bomb shelter itself was really cool and the fact there were DJ's playing inside it was awesome!
The power cut at one point and they had to add more petrol to the generator - this is the moment the music turned back on and the partying continued!!
Everyone looks so uniquely funny in this photo..
It was such a good night!! Everyone from Secret Fiesta was there and more! Tom and I took a taxi home around 2am - early I know! - because we were having an Easter Sunday meal with his family. Hopefully they'll be plenty more events in the same area during summer + in the daytime!! This is just the beginning of an exciting and eventful summer!! :D

Today I met up with a good friend from high school - Ella - to do a mini photo shoot for an upcoming Lookbook. We went Smallmans, a park behind City Hall. It was so beautiful!! There was blossom littered all over the paths and there were red, yellow and white tulips in the flower beds.
Finally managed to take a decent photo of blossom!
Still have to do a post about my last Saturday, and a mini photography shoot I did yesterday.

Last Wednesday I had my first shift volunteering for Ffotogallery in Penarth. I spent the shift doing a stock check through all the books - allowing me to find this charming book. I think the use of natural lighting is what caught my eye. I have a real love for natural lighting as I find it brings out the best in a subject. How Elisa Sighicelli has focused on the light produced by a window is something which creates a beautiful and calming effect. I love reading about photographers own views and reasons behind a project, it really inspires me with my own work..
I should of really scanned the pages in, but I was feeling lazy hahaI'm really glad I've started volunteering for Ffotogallery, my next shifts are 21st and 22nd of May where I'll be installing a new exhibition, which will include painting the walls and hanging the images.. Exciting!! Although the shifts aren't regular I think it's going to be a great opportunity to surround myself more with photography. I also have a discount on books and there are selected books I even get for free! I also have access to the darkrooms in Chapter Arts Center, which is amazing because I really want to start processing my own film and developing my own images.
