Travelling Europe: Pompeii

The amazingly fascinating, slightly overcrowded Pompeii!! What an interesting place oh my! We spent a good part of the day walking around, exploring the preserved past while hiding in shade where possible from the blazing sun, keep an eye on Mt Vesuvius as water planes drop gallons on its steamy surface.
Pompeii was really cool, it was so big and so interesting to look at all the artifacts and buildings constantly being restored and revived. From ancient paintings on walls to beautiful gardens full of statues and mosaic paths. We both really enjoyed it, although the heat was quite overpowering! I really would recommend a visit to Pompeii if possible because you're bound to be enthralled by the rich history of the place, you feel transported into the past! Although we didn't get a guide, they're everywhere and you can easily eavesdrop to find out interesting snippets of whats around you. Every corner of the place has an curious story.
