Love Saves The Day

Hey! Glad I'm able to do a blog post today :) On Saturday me and Tom went to Love Saves The Day, a weekend festival in Bristol. We only went to the Saturday because the line up was more up our street. It was a lot of fun! The weather was surprisingly perfect considering we were expecting rain. Definitely a festival worth checking out. We stayed until closing and then followed the swarms of people to the entrance and then decided to do the walk back through the parks to our bus home which was a bit of a laugh. Overall we had a really great day. Here are a few pics from our DSLR and phones.

Sunday we had an amazing well needed lie-in until 12pm and then a big Sunday lunch followed by a walk home back to mine. Perfecto :)

Lots of Love
Will be doing a May post soon + Instagram Spring post eeey

Caerphilly Mountain

Maybe I shouldn't be writing this now because I am so amusingly exhausted I can barely lift my fingers to type, but I will regardless even if it takes me twice as long and I fall asleep half way through. As I had a Sunday off (today) without Tom I decided I would walk to the International Swimming Pool in the Bay from my house in Roath (my bike being in Penarth at the moment). It was a really lovely walk to be fair, I left 10.22am and arrived under 80 minutes later. Swam for half an hour, which took more out of me than I was expecting.. and then headed back arriving home around half an hour ago. I. Am. Shattered. Like I rarely need nap but I feel so physically drained I could most definitely nap right now. Maybe next time I'll cycle there...

So yesterday I also had the day off and Josie did also, so we arranged to meet up at her house and then walk Caerphilly Mountain which I realised I haven't done before. You start off in Cefn Onn which I used to regularly go to and then follow a side path up the mountain until you come out to a magnificent view of the surrounding valleys and Cardiff. It was beautiful! And we had such lovely weather for it.

News at home.. yesterday we thought Wally had gotten conjunctivitis because he couldn't open one of his eyes. It improved a lot throughout the day and today he can open it fine but its starting to look more like something has scratched the surface of his eye!! Either a claw (his or the cats) or a stick or something. :( We don't really know too much about it, I'm just assuming from what I can see. I don't think it would of made him fully blind in that eye but the top film of the eye seems damaged!! Poor Wally. Maybe we'll find out soon what it is.

Now for the rest of my day I'm probably going to read, maybe not in my bed though because I'll definitely end up falling asleep!

Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind

Hey, really been feeling like writing a blog post lately. The last few days for me have been really good. I've been really positive about things and really enjoyed keeping busy, even if that is accounting for little Wally's needs. The weather on Sunday was absolutely beautiful. After my shift me and Tom lay about his garden in 23 degrees and then went for a nice walk along the cliff tops. Monday and today have been fairly rainy (I don't think it'll let up today) but still pleasantly warm. I've just cycled home from Penarth and got positively soaked, but it was so enjoyable... Summer rain is just as nice as Summer sun sometimes as long as it's not day in day out. Everythings so green and healthy at the moment I love it.

The title of today's post is something I've been repeating in my head recently. I seem to have a mind capable of thinking out a situation a hundred times in great depth until I can't think about it anymore and then it's gone. Recently the thing thats been stuck in my head is something I'd rather not have in it as its completely unresolveable and usually just creates unnecessary stress. So out of sight, out of mind seems like a reasonable thing to remind myself, and it has kind of worked I have to say. There's a picture that I saw on my facebook feed below that I feel really speaks to me and is very similar to my own philosophy. Not only does a positive attitude create a positive life around you, but it can also create a positive atmosphere for someone else, or even make their day slightly better or easier. People forget sometimes how easy it is to be nice, polite and friendly. It's such a simple thing that can sometimes go a long way. So don't ever think I'm going to apologise or feel out of place because I think positively and have a happy attitude towards things.

Now here are just a few little pictures from my DSLR. Spring is oh so definitely apon us.

 Enjoying the sun!
